Think Tank Will Help Drive China’s Environmental Policies

An environmental think tank that has the ear of China’s central government will drive more stringent environmental policy development and create opportunities for green technology companies.

The National Expert Committee on Ecological Environmental Protection, announced July 18, brings together leading environmental scientists and consultants under the auspices of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment.

“It will provide opinions and advice on major environmental policies to central government, especially the Ministry of Ecology and Environment,” Lu Fu, China director at Clean Air Asia, said in a July 23 phone call.
