Textron Wins Dismissal of Vinyl Chloride Exposure Lawsuit

Medical experts who failed to link studies establishing vinyl chloride as a carcinogen to illnesses of two children were properly rejected in a toxic tort case, the Seventh Circuit ruled Aug. 26 (C.W. v. Textron Inc., 7th Cir., 14-3448, 8/26/15).

The court affirmed the dismissal of vinyl chloride exposure claims against Textron Inc., the long-time operator of a fastener manufacturing plant in Rochester, Ind.
