Texas LNG Challenges Should Be Denied, FERC Tells D.C. Circuit

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission defended its approval of a liquefied natural gas export terminal in Texas, saying it addressed each issue raised by a federal appeals court in a previous challenge.

FERC reasonably responded to the US Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit’s instructions by revisiting the issues the court pointed to, such as the project’s effect on environmental justice communities and the estimated social cost of carbon, the commission argued Monday.
