Teva Unit in Puerto Rico Settles With EPA Over Pharma Pollution

The EPA has settled with pharmaceutical company TAPI Puerto Rico Inc. over allegations that the company failed to comply with hazardous air pollution and hazardous waste requirements, according to a notice filed in a Puerto Rico federal court Monday.

TAPI, a unit of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., was accused of violating the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, and the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act at its facility in Guayama, Puerto Rico, according to the notice in the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico.
