Swift Changes to US Chemical Policies Expected Under Trump (1)

The incoming Trump administration is likely to change how the EPA determines whether a chemical is so risky it must be restricted and how such regulations would be crafted.

Those changes will occur faster than during the first Trump administration, due to experience implementing the 2016 Toxic Substances Control Act amendments that changed the nation’s primary commercial chemicals law, said David Fischer, who served in the EPA’s chemical office under Trump.
