Supreme Court Ruling Won’t Delay Bay Area Water Pollution Case

An environmental group’s suit alleging two Bay Area cities illegally dumped sewage in San Francisco bay tributaries won’t wait on a Supreme Court decision in a related water permits case.

The opinion in City and County of San Francisco v. EPA will likely be released before the trial between San Francisco Baykeeper and the cities of Sunnyvale and Mountain View, Calif., begins, meaning there will be “little hardship” moving forward, the US District Court for the Northern District of California ruled.
