SunPower Corp., the second-biggest U.S. solar panel maker, completed a 20-megawatt solar farm in Arizona.
Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative Inc. will buy the farm’s output under a 20-year power purchase agreement, San Jose, Calif.-based SunPower said in a Dec. 21 statement. The cooperative will also retain renewable energy credits associated with the farm. Terms weren’t disclosed.
The farm is expected to generate enough electricity to power about 2,800 homes.
