Suncor, Exxon Climate Case Briefing Moves Ahead at Supreme Court

The latest climate petition briefing is forging ahead at the Supreme Court, which could weigh in on taking up another major energy company case as early as next month.

Attorneys for the city and county of Boulder, Colo., filed their response on Aug. 10 to a petition filed by Suncor Energy and Exxon Mobil Corp. The companies are asking justices to examine whether federal law governs climate cases brought by cities, counties, and states around the country.
