States Push Back on Red State Intervention in Kids’ Climate Case

A coalition of Democratic attorneys general threw their weight behind the 21 youth plaintiffs in the Juliana v. U.S. climate case, filing a support brief motion Tuesday against attempted GOP state intervention in settlement talks.

Republican states’ arguments that they should intervene in the case to avoid “purported collusion” on the part of the Biden administration are unfounded, according to the amicus brief led by New York.

Delaware, Hawaii, Minnesota, Oregon, and Vermont also signed on to the brief.
