A group of Republican attorneys general joined the call for US Supreme Court review of California’s tailpipe emissions waiver, which they say gives too much power to one state.
Petitioners say the case raises the question of whether some states are given increased sovereignty over others, which they claim is the situation here with a Clean Air Act waiver that allows California to set its own vehicle emissions standards.
