States Blast EPA’s Plan to Kill Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program

A move to gut greenhouse gas reporting requirements will let large corporate polluters off the hook, and leave the US grossly unprepared for future climate change threats, according to public comment submitted by a coalition of state and local governments.

The cities and states submitted testimony on a Monday deadline for public comment on a Trump administration proposal that would scrap key data points for planet-warming emissions submitted by industrial facilities across the US.
