Southwest Power Grid Reliability Proposal Draws Legal Challenge

The Natural Resources Defense Council and Sierra Club on Monday challenged Federal Energy Regulatory Commission orders approving a proposed new way of evaluating electric generators in the Midwest and West to ensure grid reliability.

The groups filed their short, unstamped petition for review under the Federal Power Act with the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit.
