Solar energy job programs for high school students in rural Oregon, Native American women in South Dakota, and historically Black colleges and universities in Louisiana are among the Biden administration’s efforts planned to build a clean energy workforce.
The Energy Department Tuesday will award a total of $13.5 million to 12 workforce programs under its Advancing Equity through Workforce Partnerships funding program, which is centered on reaching into communities that have traditionally been left behind by economic development, according to an announcement shared with Bloomberg Law.
