Snam CEO Says Company Will Buy Stake in Eni Carbon Capture Unit

Gas network operator Snam SpA will be one of the investors in Eni SpA’s carbon capture unit, Chief Executive Officer Stefano Venier said.

“We are planning to be part of the new entity” set to be spun off from Italian energy major Eni, Venier told Bloomberg TV’s Francine Lacqua in an interview on Thursday.

Eni has received as many as six non-binding offers for a stake in the planned spinoff, as it sets to replicate an approach it used with its Enilive and Plenitude units.
