Sierra Club Challenges FERC Approval of Tennessee Gas Pipeline

The Sierra Club and Appalachian Voices are challenging the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s approvals for a 32-mile gas pipeline running through Tennessee.

FERC was wrong to conclude that the project would help reduce emissions when the record shows the opposite, the groups told the US Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit on Sept. 6.
