Solar power isn’t just for coastal, crunchy-granola liberals, the leader of the industry’s trade group says.

The growth the industry has seen “is not just the blue states on the coast,” says Abigail Ross Hopper, president and CEO of the Solar Energy Industries Association. “These are states throughout the country investing in solar because it makes economic sense. Disabusing people that it’s a Democrat-only idea has been important.”
