A Senate panel approved President Donald Trump’s nominations of David Fotouhi to become the EPA’s second-highest ranking official and Aaron Szabo to lead the agency’s air office, a day after the agency announced plans to roll back Biden-era environmental regulations.
If confirmed by the full Senate, Fotouhi and Szabo will be central to the Trump administration’s vast effort to rewrite more than a dozen climate and pollution rules.
