The Senate voted 54-43 Friday to confirm Brian Nesvik as director for the US Fish and Wildlife Service.
Nesvik is a former director of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department and is a retired brigadier general in the Wyoming Army National Guard.
He will oversee more than 500 national wildlife refuges and oversee the Fish and Wildlife Service’s addition of imperiled plants and animals on the endangered and threatened species lists.
