Santa Clara Valley Water District Sued for Fish Mismanagement

Santa Clara Valley Water District doesn’t manage its waters in a way that protects fish and wildlife, San Francisco Baykeeper alleged in a lawsuit filed in Superior Court in California.

The district holds water rights licenses for the Stevens, Coyote, and Guadalupe watersheds, but the native fish in its jurisdiction are in poor condition and are at risk of extirpation, according to the complaint filed Wednesday.
