San Francisco Water Pollution Claim Against PG&E Can Go Forward

Pacific Gas & Electric Co. and PG&E Corp. must face a claim that they’re failing to stop the release of pollutants from their former plant in San Francisco, a California federal court ruled after rejecting their argument that the claim is barred by the statute of limitations.

California resident Dan Clarke alleges polyaromatic hydrocarbons, which are known carcinogens and toxic to marine life, are transported through groundwater from PG&E’s Cannery MGP Site into the San Francisco Bay.
