A utility that jointly manages a San Diego wastewater treatment plant that allegedly discharged unlawful pollutants got most of a lawsuit by environmental groups dismissed.
The groups’ complaint lacked sufficient detail about what allegedly unlawful activity was attributable to which defendant, Judge James E. Simmons Jr. of the US District Court for the Southern District of California said Feb. 14.
Veolia Water North America-West LLC manages the plant with the US International Boundaries and Water Commission, which is responsible for applying the boundary and water treaties between US and Mexico.
