Revocation of Iowa Wind Turbine Permit Moots Appeal, Court Says

Iowa residents lost their Eighth Circuit appeal Friday that challenged a county permit issued for a proposed wind project because the permit was revoked, which made their lawsuit moot.

Once the permit revocation was upheld by the County Board of Adjustment, “almost all of plaintiffs’ claims died,” Judge Lavenski R. Smith said on behalf of the US Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
