Regional air quality officials have filed a complaint seeking stiff penalties from Southern California Gas Co. for the ongoing leak at its underground natural gas storage field near Los Angeles (People v. S. Cal. Gas Co., Cal. Sup. Ct., BC 608322, 1/26/16).
Filed by the South Coast Air Quality Management District on Jan. 26, the lawsuit alleged the utility’s negligence caused the leak.
