Regan Tells EPA Staff to Fully Cooperate With Internal Watchdog

EPA Administrator Michael Regan told staff to give the agency’s internal watchdog their full cooperation in an internal email on Wednesday.

The email, which was reviewed by Bloomberg Law, is consistent with Regan’s many promises to build a trustworthy, transparent Environmental Protection Agency. It also clarified some staffers’ uncertainty about how much they should help the Office of Inspector General.

Regan directed EPA staff to furnish the OIG with “timely access to records or other information which relate to the agency’s programs and operations, and that OIG needs to accomplish its important mission,” consistent with the Inspector General Act. ...
