Trademark Metals Recycling LLC is illegally discharging stormwater pollution from six scrap metal yards in the Tampa Bay and Sarasota Bay areas, conservation groups say in a lawsuit filed in a Florida federal court.
The company failed to implement the best available technology and best conventional pollutant control technology to prevent or reduce pollutants in stormwater discharges at its facilities as required under the Clean Water Act, according to the lawsuit filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
