Recycling Companies Sued for $15 Million Over Alleged Sham

Electronic recycling companies allegedly abandoned and disposed of 195 million pounds of broken cathode ray tubes and crushed glass, and now face a $15 million lawsuit filed by property companies in California and Arizona.

The plaintiffs sued Closed Loop Refining and Recovery Inc., along with other electronic recycling companies, alleging that the companies secured leases at plaintiffs’ properties based on false representations that they would be operating the services in compliance with federal and state hazardous waste laws.
