Raytheon Sues NCR Over Kansas Hazardous Waste Cleanup (1)

Raytheon Co. said NCR Corp. and others aren’t doing their duty to clean up a contaminated Kansas site.

The Wichita, Kan., site, called Standard Precision Inc., housed aircraft instrument manufacturing operations and a radium dial shop that released heavy metals, radium, chlorinated solvents, and other chemicals, according to the state’s records.

In Raytheon’s complaint, filed in U.S. District Court in the District of Kansas on Aug. 8, Raytheon asked the court to compel NCR, CECO Inc., and a trustee to clean up the contamination.
