Environmental groups on Monday challenged federal approvals of livestock grazing in the Lincoln National Forest, citing their concern for the impact on the endangered New Mexico meadow jumping mouse.
“The agencies effectively authorized the same business-as-usual livestock grazing activities with inadequate modifications that will almost certainly amount to the proverbial nail in the coffin for this highly imperiled species,” the Center for Biological Diversity and Maricopa Audobon Society said in their complaint filed with the US District Court for the District of New Mexico.
