A bill establishing a quantum science office in the White House to advance research and development in quantum computing was on its way to President Donald Trump following House passage Dec. 19.
The bill, H.R. 6227, directs the president to establish a 10-year National Quantum Initiative Program. It also would create a National Quantum Coordination Office within the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy to oversee interagency planning.
