PPG Industries Liable for Water Pollution at Pennsylvania Site

PPG Industries Inc. must face a potential fine for releasing pollution at a site in Pennsylvania without a valid permit, even though the state already accepted a $1.2 million payment from the company, a federal court ruled.

PPG argued the penalty it paid to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection made this claim moot.
