PPG Found Liable for Allegheny River Site Pollution

A federal judge has found PPG Industries Inc. liable for contaminated discharges into the Allegheny River from an Armstrong County, Pa., site where it dumped slurry waste from a nearby glass factory for 21 years (PennEnv’t v. PPG Industries, Inc., W.D. Pa., 2:12-cv-00342, partial summary judgment granted 8/31/15.
