Polymarket Hires Ex-CFTC Official Kumar as Chief Legal Officer

Predictions market firm Polymarket hired former Commodity Futures Trading Commission attorney Neal Kumar to be chief legal officer.

“We are thrilled for Neal to join the team at a time of immense growth and traction for the company,” Polymarket said in a statement.

Kumar, a former partner at law firm Willkie Farr & Gallagher, was a potential contender to chair the CFTC. President Donald Trump ultimately nominated Brian Quintenz, a former crypto policy leader at a16z Crypto, the digital-asset arm of venture-capital heavyweight Andreessen Horowitz.
