Plan to Improve Prop 65 Warnings Praised By Health Advocates, Criticized by Business

A proposal to improve public warnings required under Proposition 65, California’s landmark right-to-know law, has won high marks from environmental advocates, but heavy criticism from business and industry groups.

California’s Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment posted the comments on the “pre-regulatory’’ document on its website June 18.

Released in March, the document is a move to implement reforms Gov.
