Pipeline Company Behind Keystone XL Sees Future in Going Small

The head of TC Energy Corp.’s new oil pipeline spinoff wants to connect more customers to its 3,045-mile North American network — not build massive projects like the failed Keystone XL.

The new South Bow Corp., approved by TC shareholders Tuesday, will focus on expanding the reach of its existing pipelines that ship Canadian crude to the US Gulf Coast, Chief Executive Officer Bevin Wirzba said in an interview.
