The Fluorotelomer Consortium has asked a federal appeals court to hear their challenge to an EPA order requiring five chemical companies to pay for laboratory tests of a particular PFAS.
The consortium of companies making and processing fluorotelomers—a subset of perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS)—petitioned the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit on Monday to review the Environmental Protection Agency’s October test order for 6:2 fluorotelomer acrylate, or 6:2 FTAc.
