A Trump-era PFAS analysis failed to meet the EPA’s scientific integrity and information quality commitments, according to an inspector general report released Tuesday that bolsters conclusions the agency announced weeks after President Joe Biden assumed office.
The Environmental Protection Agency and its Office of Inspector General agreed that political interference in the analysis could have resulted in regulatory actions that were less protective of human health than was warranted.
