Stevan Pearce, the White House’s nominee to lead the Bureau of Land Management, was confirmed by the Senate on Monday to help implement President Donald Trump’s energy dominance agenda.
Pearce, a former seven-term Republican congressman from New Mexico, was confirmed as part of a package of nominees approved by Senate Republicans. Pearce now takes over an agency that is intensely focused on ramping up sales of oil, gas, timber, critical minerals, and other natural resources across 245 million acres of federal land.
