Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison has continued its dramatic London buildout with the hire of elite UK firm Linklaters’ global head of antitrust and foreign investment, Nicole Kar, according to two people with knowledge of the hire.
In a double blow to Linklaters by US rivals, the firm has also lost London leveraged finance partner Noel Hughes to Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom, according to a Skadden statement.
Kar has been at Linklaters for almost 18 years and also co-heads the firm’s global banking sector group and trade law practice.
