Paul Pineau was named general counsel and secretary at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the museum announced Thursday.
Pineau will assume the role March 10, and joins from Johns Hopkins University, where he was general counsel, according to the museum.
As general counsel, Pineau will serve as the principal legal officer for The Met, with overall responsibility for the leadership of the Museum’s legal function.
