Paccar, Cummins Rally After EPA Emissions Policy Report

Shares of Paccar and Cummins climb Tuesday as the Environmental Protection Agency plans not to delay a Biden-era heavy-duty engine and vehicle emissions regulation set to go into effect in 2027, according to a report from the Commercial Carrier Journal. However, the agency said it will make “major changes” to the rule.

  • Paccar shares rise 2.9%, with Cummins shares up 1.7% as the S&P 500 slumps
  • “The ruling gives clarity and helps remove one of the overhangs facing the sector,” said Christopher Ciolino of Bloomberg Intelligence
