Orsted Signs World’s Largest Power Deal for Taiwan Wind Farm (1)

Denmark’s Orsted A/S signed a deal with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. to sell power from a giant wind farm it’s developing off the coast of Taiwan.

The agreement to sell all of the power from the 920-megawatt wind farm for 20 years is the largest ever for a renewable power project, the companies said in a statement. It also moves Orsted closer to taking a final investment decision on the project, which is expected in 2023.
