Oregon Department of Energy Further Amends Business Energy Tax Credit Rules

The Oregon Department of Energy recently again amended existing rules and adopted new rules for administration of the business energy tax credit (BETC) to implement amendments made by 2010 H.B. 3680, according to the department.

The popular credit covers a range of activities aimed at energy conservation. It previously was amended three times, in November 2009, January 2010, and May 2010, to tighten limitations in order to “reduce the program’s impact on the general fund,” according to prior summaries by the department.
