Chevron Corp. submitted a trove of public documents rebutting claims in Honolulu’s climate liability case that they and other oil companies misled consumers about climate change.

Industry attorneys included documents on Monday in a two-part response to Honolulu’s amended complaint, which is proceeding at Hawaii’s First Circuit Court.

Federal appeals judges allowed the case to proceed in state court, despite oil company bids to move the suit to federal benches, where the companies may have a better shot at getting it dismissed.
