Oil and gas companies won their bid to stop enforcement of an Arkansas law on fossil fuel production while they challenge its constitutionality, with a federal judge saying it would impair their rights.
Flywheel Energy Production LLC, Van Buren Energy Production LLC, Razorback Production LLC, and CAER Energy LLC showed that they’re likely to succeed on their contract clause claims, making a preliminary injunction appropriate, Judge D.P. Marshall Jr. of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas said Aug. 1.
The companies all either have leases to develop and sell natural gas or are well operators.
