Ohio to Jump on Nuclear Subsidy Bandwagon With Bailout Bill (1)

Ohio is the latest state to propose a bailout for nuclear power plants with a $300 million zero-carbon incentive bill introduced April 12.

State House Speaker Larry Householder (R) said House Bill 6 would encourage in-state power generation, reduced carbon emissions, and greater industrial job creation through a hefty zero-carbon incentive. For every megawatt of zero-carbon energy produced in Ohio, the generating facility would receive $9.25.
