The federal government should pay $14 million to recoup response costs for forever chemical contamination in Dayton, Ohio, from the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, the city said in a Thursday lawsuit.
The base continues to allow a “massive plume” of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances to migrate into the city’s well field and water supply, according to the complaint filed in the US District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
