Objectors Target $202 Million Attorneys Fees in Flint Water Case

A group with a history of challenging massive class action settlements is attempting to shrink the $202 million in fees plaintiff lawyers are seeking from the Flint water crisis settlement.

Attorneys representing more than 30,000 Flint residents aren’t backing up their claim for nearly one-third of the $641 million Michigan is paying for the ill-fated switch to Flint River water in 2014, according to a Hamilton Lincoln Law Institute objection filed Monday.
