The owner of a natural gas-fired power plant in Queens plans to close the facility and transform it into a clean-energy transmission and storage hub.
Rise Light & Power plans to file applications this year with state regulators to redevelop the Ravenswood Generating Station, according to a statement. The company didn’t say when the plant will close.
