Nissan Must Face Trial in Banned Black Contract Workers’ Lawsuit

Four Black employees Nissan NA LLC , banned from working at a suburban Nashville facility, will get a trial on their race discrimination and tort claims.

A jury needs to determine whether a provision barring OnSite Fleet LLC from using workers with certain felony convictions under its contract with Nissan to provide services at the Smyrna, Tenn., facility applied to three of the plaintiffs’ drug-related crimes, the US District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee said.
