A group of Kansas landowners failed to block a large-scale industrial solar power project near their properties after a federal judge ruled they didn’t connect their environmental concerns with potential tax credits from the Inflation Reduction Act.
Four property owners and the city of Rossville, Kan., sued the Internal Revenue Service over regulations to streamline IRA credit claims, which they said violate the National Environmental Policy Act because they don’t refer to NEPA or require compliance with it in order to receive the tax credits.
